What can I expect during the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure?

The Kayaking Adventure starts at the meeting point which can be found on google maps by searching for ‘Xplore Tenerife’ (located in the Cristianmar building). From here, you will be given a 15 minute health and safety briefing and also shown how to safely and efficiently use a kayak. After this, you will then walk together as a group to the first stop of this kayaking adventure, the beautiful Playa de los Cristianos

Starting off this exciting Kayaking adventure, you will leisurely explore the crystal clear oceanic waters of los Cristianos beach. Here you will take part in spotting some of the local and native marine wildlife as well as absorbing the panoramic views and breathtaking mountains of Tenerife

Further along the route you will Kayak towards the protected nature reserve, located by the mesmerizing cliffs of Gauza, Tenerife. Here you will encounter the serene and magical experience of sea creatures in their natural and undisturbed habitat, as you peacefully kayak through the water. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins! Being naturally sociable and friendly creatures, don’t be surprised if they swim alongside your kayak making it truly unforgettable adventure.

Kayak into the Cueva de los Enamorados (Lover’s cave)

Next stop, you’ll make your way to the secluded and peaceful lover’s cave (Cueva de los Enamorados), where you will have an up close and intimate experience with even more sea creatures in their natural Tenerife habitat. The calm waters make it a perfect opportunity to take a pause in your kayak and pose for some incredible photos to take home.

Take part in a snorkel adventure in a Secret destination!

Next stop on the kayaking adventure, is a top secret and undisclosed location. Here you will be given the opportunity to snorkel with the ocean wildlife, which can include the ancient loggerhead turtles of the area. A truly magical and once in a lifetime adventure.

What’s included in the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure?

Kayaks, snorkel equipment, a local guide, photos and wetsuits are all included in the kayaking adventure.

Is Lunch or food included in the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure?

Water and food is not included in the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure, so definitely bring plenty of water with you and a small snack if you feel you might need it .

What should I wear on the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure?

It's advisable to wear comfortable clothes that are easy to take off as you will be asked to change into a wetsuit. Swimsuits are not provided on the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure and so you must wear your own swim clothes underneath the wetsuit that we provide you with. You will also need to bring your own towel and don’t forget to bring your sun cream!

Do I need to have Kayaking experience?

No previous kayaking experience is necessary and you will be given a short briefing at the beginning of the day. However, we do ask that each person is able to swim.

Will I definitely see turtles and dolphins on the Tenerife Kayaking Adventure?

These are wild animals and although we cannot guarantee that you will see them, there is a very high chance that you will, as we will be visiting their natural habitat in our non invasive and non intrusive kayaks.
