AEMET, The Spanish State Meteorological Agency responsible for the weather, have forecast temperatures on the island of Lanzarote to reach the high 30s later this week.
With temperatures already pushing 29 degrees so far, the week will finish off around 8 degrees higher with the Mercury moving on upwards towards 37.
Whilst holiday-makers, especially from England where the summer has yet to make an appearance, will be buoyed by the news of the forecast we would remind you to be sensible when out in the sun. The UV strength in Lanzarote is typically much higher than in Northern Europe so take care to apply sun lotion (the higher the factor, the better), take on board plenty of water and if possible seek shade if you feel the heat is too intense.
Another way to beat the heat is to hop on an air conditioned coach and see some of the best sights on the island.
