Saturday (3rd August) sees temperatures rising across the islands and may exceed 37-38 ºC in the south of Gran Canaria.
Temperatures are set to rise across the Canaries, with the western islands seeing temperatures of around 34 ºC. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura temperatures are expected to peak between 30-32 ºC. The high temperatures are expected to continue in Sunday making for a great weekend for holidaymakers. The UV Index is forecasted to be extremely high at 11.
Northern parts of the islands may be subject to cloudy intervals and eastern islands may experience winds in excess of 70kmph. A brief breakdown of the weekends temperatures across the main islands of the archipelago as follows.
Lanzarote
Lanzarote will see low clouds in the NNW during Saturday morning and again towards the end of the day. Maximum temperatures to reach 30-32 ºC in the south.
La Graciosa
Clear Skies expected and temperatures to reach 26-28 ºC.
Fuerteventura
Low clouds on the Jandía peninsula with expected sun and haze in the higher parts of the island. Temperatures expected to exceed 32 ºC in the SSW.
Gran Canaria
Cloudy skies in the north and northeast. Sun and haze expected in the higher parts of the island with temperatures forecast to exceed 38 ºC in the South and South West
Tenerife
High clouds travelling from the southeast to the northwest during the morning. Maximum temperatures expected to exceed 34 ºC in the south of the island.

As always, when high temperatures are forecast we advise that you take due care and stay hydrated, and where possible stay out of the direct sun especially during peak times around midday.`p>
