El Diablo, located in the Timanfaya National Park, has been selected by National Geographic as one of the most impressive restaurants in the world.
To give it its full name, El Diablo de las Montañas del Fuego, was picked as one of six of the most impressive restaurants in the world. The restaurant, along the architecture of the building and views over the Timanfaya National Park lava fields, is famous for its outdoor grill that uses superheated steam from the active volcano below. Thanks to this unique way of cooking, and local techniques, guests are treated to a flavour to their meat and seafood that you just won't find anywhere else.
If you do get chance to eat at El Diablo, we highly recommend it. It's an opportunity to eat local Canarian food prepared on a grill that's powered by the natural heat of an active volcano in surroundings that you won't find in many parts of Europe. Delights include the wrinkled Canarian Potato and flavoursome Mojo Sauce and a cone shaped desert consisting of sweet flavours, almonds, chocolate, honey and Lanzarote own Gofio
