Water Parks in Lanzarote
There are two water parks in Lanzarote, but if you're staying in Playa Blanca then the Aqualava park is the one for you. The other water park in Lanzarote is located in Costa Teguise on the east coast of the island. Whilst this is quite a distance from Playa Blanca, with an organised excursion you get a free coach pick-up and drop-off service from and to your accommodation.
Lanzasur Splash resort
The Aqualava Playa Blanca water park is located in the Lanzasur Splash resort with stunning views of the overlooking Montana Roja volcanoes. Whilst it can be said that the water park is aimed at younger children, it has many facilities and activities that are suitable for the whole family.
Aqualava Water Park Slides and Attractions
Aqualava Water Park in Playa Blanca offers a range of slides and attractions suitable for all ages, from high-speed water slides to relaxing family areas and pools.
Timan Fire Water Slides
Are you feeling brave? Then take on the Timan Fire water slides at Aqualava. This series of high-speed slides twists through tunnels before plunging into the pool below, making it one of the most exciting attractions in the park. Timan Fire is suitable for those over 1.20 metres in height.
Corsario Bay Family Area
Corsario Bay is designed for families and younger visitors, with smaller slides, water features and splash areas. With varying water depths and plenty of space to play, it is ideal for children from 60cm and above to enjoy safely.
Aqualava Beach Wave Pool
Aqualava Beach is the only wave pool in Lanzarote. The salt water pool and wave machine give you the authentic feeling of being at the beach without actually being at the beach. This makes it one of the most unique attractions in the park and a favourite with both children and adults.
Magma River Lazy River
Take it easy with a relaxing journey along Magma River, the park’s lazy river. Ideal for the whole family, you can float along on inflatables as the river gently carries you around the park while you enjoy the Lanzarote sunshine.
Magma River
Take it easy with a relaxing water journey through Magma River. Ideal for the whole family, the lazy river allows you to float along on single or double inflatables and takes you around the park, whilst you enjoy basking in the Lanzarote sun.
Aqualava Water Park Restaurants and Shops
No water park is complete without food and drink and Aqualava has plenty to chose from. Check out the Timi Kitchen where the family can recharge with a delicious buffet and refreshing drinks. Enjoy an ice-cream or two whilst taking a break before heading back to the water. The Timi Shop also has a great range of branded souvenirs so you can take a piece of your Aqualava Water Park experience home with you.
Is Aqualava Playa Blanca Worth Visiting?
Yes, Aqualava is worth visiting if you are staying in Playa Blanca or looking for a family-friendly water park in Lanzarote. It is especially good for families with younger children, as the park has a mix of water slides, splash areas, a wave pool and the Magma River lazy river without feeling too overwhelming. The park layout is ideal for parents as you will have the confidence to let your children explore and enjoy the park while you chill out and relax.
For older children and adults, the Timan Fire slides add a faster option, while Aqualava Beach and Corsario Bay make it easy for the whole family to enjoy the park together. If you want a relaxed water park day in the south of Lanzarote, Aqualava is one of the easiest and most convenient options.
Aqualava Facilities and Services
The Aqualava water park is designed with accessibility in mind, making it easy for less-abled guests to enjoy their day out. WiFi is available for anyone that can't spend a few hours away from their phone, so it's easy to upload your snaps to Instagram and social media. All the usual facilities you'd expect of a water park are available such as lockers, changing rooms and first aid. Safety is of paramount importance and qualified lifeguards are present throughout the park.
Aqualava Opening Times and Transport Days
The popular Aqualava Lanzarote Water Park in Playa Blanca is open 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Save time queuing at the entrance with our official Aqualava tickets that you can book through TravelON.world and get a free drink included. Coach pick-up is available from Costa Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Aqualava Water Park is open daily from 10:00 until 18:00 from May to October, and from 10:00 until 17:00 from November to April.
Getting to Aqualava Playa Blanca
Free coach pick-up is available from Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However, if you are staying in Playa Blanca, we recommend making your own way to the park as the bus can take longer due to multiple pick-ups. A taxi from most Playa Blanca hotels takes around 5 to 8 minutes and is a quick and inexpensive option.
Is Aqualava Open All Year?
Aqualava is the only water park in Lanzarote that remains open all year round. Unlike other parks on the island that close during the winter months, Aqualava continues to operate, making it a popular choice for visitors outside of the main summer season.
Aqualava Water Temperature
The water at Aqualava is climatized, meaning it is naturally warmed by the Lanzarote climate to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the year. While not artificially heated like indoor pools, it remains pleasant even during the winter months.
Aqualava Tickets and Capacity
As Aqualava is also part of a hotel complex, ticket availability can be limited, especially during peak holiday periods. On busy days, the park may reach capacity and stop additional entries, so booking your tickets in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment.
How to Book Aqualava Tickets
Booking Aqualava tickets is quick and easy. Follow these steps to secure your entry and avoid queues at the park.
- Choose your option: decide whether you want direct entry tickets or tickets with return coach pick-up (available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
- Select your date and tickets: pick your visit date and number of tickets, then proceed to checkout.
- Enter your accommodation details: tell us where you are staying so we can arrange your tickets, pick-up times or arrival instructions.
- Receive your tickets: we will send everything you need, including your tickets and full details for your day at Aqualava.
If you are staying in Playa Blanca, we recommend going directly to the park as it is only a short taxi ride from most hotels.
