Fuerteventura Sand Dunes
The Fuerteventura Sand Dunes are one of the wonders of the Canary Islands and a must visit if you're in the area. Located just to the East of Corralejo, you can get to them by car or taxi. With our inclusive excursion you get the benefit of being driven directly to the dunes by air conditioned coach.
On first sight of the dunes you'll witness the golden sands against the backdrop of the gorgeous, bold, blue Skys. Not to mention the stunning turquoise waters that are popular with swimmers and snorkelers alike.
You will, of course, get to enjoy some free time exploring the dunes at your leisure .
Fuerteventura Sand Dunes Excursion
The Fuerteventura Sand Dunes excursion starts with collection, by coach, from your hotel. From here you'll make the trip to the Playa Blanca harbour.
9:30am Ferry from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura
From the harbour you'll take the 9.30 Fast Ferry to Fuerteventura. The crossing usually takes around 40 minutes and sails directly into Corralejo, the northern most town on the island and main connection point between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
10:15am Arrival in Fuerteventura
After the 40 minute crossing you'll arrive in Fuerteventura at around 10:15. Here you'll board another coach that will take you into the town of Corralejo. You'll instantly see a difference from Lanzarote here with different coloured buildings and the way the town is presented. Corralejo has a great selection of bars and restaurants, both in town and along the sea front. There are also some great shops in the town centre where you can find some local bargains and named brands.
12:00pm Off to see the Fuerteventura Sand Dunes
At midday you'll return to your coach and be driven to the Natural Park of Fuerteventura, home of the famous Fuerteventura Sand Dunes. The coach will stop off, and with the help of your guide, you'll be able to walk to the highest point of the sand dunes where you can enjoy amazing views over the dunes, Los Lobos, the ocean and on a clear day look back at Lanzarote.
1:00pm Lunch in the Dunes
After an hour of exploring, it's time to take a well earned lunch break. Lunch isn't included in the price of the tour so you have a choice of places to eat, or you can prepare your own lunch in advance and bring it with you. Following lunch you'll get some more free time where you can explore the dunes or even enjoy a camel ride.
4:40pm Return Ferry Fuerteventura to Lanzarote
By 4:40 in the afternoon, the bus will head back to the Corralejo harbour in time to get the return ferry back to Lanzarote. The boat will dock in Lanzarote around 6pm and the awaiting coach will return you to your accommodation.
