Jeep Tour Lanzarote South

This Lanzarote Jeep Tour offers a more intimate and private way of getting around and getting the most out of your holiday by seeing what the south of the island has to offer.
If you don't like crowds, or just prefer a more personal experience when it comes to seeing the sights of Lanzarote then jump onboard your private Jeep and have a great day out like no other. Take in the stunning Lanzarote Volcanic landscape in this incredible 4x4 experience.
Private Lanzarote Volcano Tour in a 4x4 Jeep
Unlike other tours, this Lanzarote Jeep South Island Tour is limited to a maximum of eight passengers. It's perfect for those who love a private adventure. You'll also get an English Speaking guide who will educate you on the places, scenery and history of the island, including legendary attractions such as The Timanfaya National Park.
Where does the Lanzarote Jeep Tour take you?
As customary in TravelON Lanzarote tours, the 4x4 private excursions include pick-up service from, or very near to, your hotel. As you'll be travelling in a 4x4 you'll also get to see things that you wouldn't normally do on a coach tour due to being able to access places on a rougher terrain.
Las Salinas de Janubio Salt Flats
The first stop on the Lanzarote South 4x4 Jeep Tour is the Salt Flats of Las Salinas de Janubio. Here you will see how they dry trapped seawater in the Lanzarote sunshine to create mounds of sea salt. You will learn more about the thermal distillation process and a little bit of history about the operation which was once one of the main industries here in Lanzarote.
Bubbling coast line views
Watch nature at work as the Atlantic Ocean crashes against the volcanic cliffs and caves we will get you as close to Los Hevideros as possible as there are restrictions there. This stunning natural attraction has been popular with tourists for decades. The name, Los Hervideros, translates to 'Boiling Pots'. When you see how the water interacts with the land as the waves crash against the cave ridden cliffs you'll understand why.
El Golfo and the Lanzarote Green Lagoon)
Just up the road from Los Hervideros is the small village of El Golfo. It's famous for its fish restaurants, relaxed way of life and of course Charco de los Clicos. This green lagoon sits in the bottom of half a volcano and gets its striking colours from the minerals in the rocks. It's a great spot for photos and videos so don't miss out.
Lunch Break in El Golfo
As we mentioned previously, the Main Street in El Golfo is lined with some stunning restaurants that you can sample on your lunch stop. It's not included in the tour which gives you the freedom to decide where and what you want to eat, or you can come prepared with your own lunch and just sit on the beach and watch the waves roll in.
Yaiza Village
The small, quaint village of Yaiza has been voted the prettiest Village in Spain - twice! This is a testament to the way that it's maintained and cared for by the locals, and the beautiful blend of white house that sit in front of the volcanic mountains that serve as the backdrop to the village.
Timanfaya National Park
A tour of the south of Lanzarote wouldn't be complete without stopping off at The Timafanaya National Park. Take in the awesome volcanic scenery that gives you an idea of what life might look like on the moon. The rock formations and colours, that have been created by violent volcanic activity are a sight to behold and make for some amazing photo opportunities.
Wine tasting in La Geria
The wine region of La Geria is also a very popular spot in the south of Lanzarote. Although you might think a dry, rocky landscape might not be the best place to produce wine, on this stop you'll learn more about how the local farmers are able to harness the minerals of the sun and volcanic ground to grow grapes that create some of the finest wines in the world. During this stop you'll also get the chance to sample some of the fine wine and purchase a bottle or two as a souvenir to take home (or drink that evening!).
The beaches of Papagayo
One of the best, and most exciting way to visit the stunning beaches of Papagayo has to be by 4x4 Jeep. And to round of the day this is exactly what you'll do. The beaches are on the coastline of a protected national park, and you'll get to take in some spectacular views of both Lanzarote, Playa Blanca and the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.
