This guided tour up Montaña Roja is suitable for anyone with a decent level of fitness, over the ages of 6 and 7. It is highly recommended that all hikers have suitable foot wear (hiking boots or sturdy walking trainers recommended). No open shoes, flip flops or sandals should be worn for your own safety. It's not an overly difficult walk, it's extremely safe, and there is a ready made path all the way to the top, however in parts the ground is covered in loose stones and without appropriate footwear you could cause injury to your feet .
2 hour guided walk up Montaña Roja, Playa Blanca
You will meet with your Tour Guide at the Paradise Island hotel, which is just at the foot of the volcano. Your expert, local guide will show you one of the easiest paths up the volcano, where you can enjoy stunning 360 panoramic views at the top of Playa Blanca, Fuerteventura, Los Lobos, El Golfo, Faro Park and even over to Papagayo. During the ascent your guide will inform you of special historical points along the way, explaining everything you need to know about the history of the Volcano.
