Teguise Market Lanzarote
Visit the largest open air market in the Canary Islands. Browse local artistan products and find a bargain souvenir or two at the Teguise Market. Shopping at Teguise Market
Teguise, the once capital of Lanzarote, is a small village located between Famara and Costa Teguise. The large, busy market takes place every Sunday morning between 10 am and 2 pm and attracts traders, artists, and artisans from all over the island to sell and showcase their work. Home to more than 300 stalls that line the small streets, the market also offers a selection of food, drink, and entertainment.
If it's art, crafts, food or just browsing that interests you then Teguise Market is a great half-day trip out for all the family. There is a pick-up and drop-off for just the Teguise market in Lanzarote from Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise. For those clients in Playa Blanca, there is an option to visit the Teguise Market on Sunday but with the tour that takes you to visit the island of La Graciosa which is well worth it.
Teguise Market is Lanzarote's biggest market
Hotel Pickup
Hotel pickup is included in the Teguise Market excursion. Our air-conditioned coach will collect you from, or near to, your accommodation. We'll make our way around some of the other hotels before taking you directly to the village of Teguise where the market is held.
The coach includes an English-speaking guide, so if you have any questions or want to learn about any of the places you pass through to get to the market, just ask.
The Old Capital of Lanzarote
Teguise itself was once the capital of Lanzarote. Not to be confused with the coastal town of Costa Teguise, or the municipality in which it resides, it's now a sleepy Canarian village 6 days of the week, bursting into life on a Sunday for the market. The Teguise Market guarantees you half a day of shopping, eating, entertainment, and strolling.
If shopping is your thing, once you get off the coach you'll be in dreamland. Whether it's artisanal products, handicrafts, pottery, clothes or accessories that you're looking for you will find it all here, at Teguise Market.
If it's local produce and food products you're after then you'll be in the right place. Choose from a huge selection of Lanzarote Wines, Cheese, and Canarian delicacies which you can buy for yourself or take home to your friends and families as gifts from your holiday in Lanzarote.
The market is also full of entertainment. From musicians to artists, you'll see some amazing performances as you walk around or sit outside for a moment with a coffee (or something stronger). You'll wonder where the time goes to after walking around and seeing everything there is to offer.
If the walking becomes a bit too much, don't worry. There are plenty of courtyards, shops, and cafes where you can sit down and take a break out of the Lanzarote sun.
Lanzarote markets
Lanzarote is no stranger to these kinds of markets. The resorts hold regular weekly/bi-weekly markets but the Sunday Morning Teguise market is by the largest and attracts traders and customers from all over the island
