The month of July, 2024, has seen 4.3 million passengers pass through Canary Island Airports.
It was a busy month for airport foot fall with figures up 6.7% for the same period the previous year. 4,362,551 passengers were recorded through the Canary Island Airports in July 2024, 2 million of whom were domestic flights and 2.3 million international. Domestic flight travellers were up 5.8% on the previous year, and international travellers up 7.4%
To facilitate the increase in numbers, 39,018 aircraft movements were carried out, 4.2% more than July 2023.
Julys totals across all airports bring the year to date figure for air travel passengers in the Canary Islands to 30,160,679, up 9.5% on 2023 with 267,773 aircraft movements.

Gran Canaria was the busiest airport in July 2023, with 1,208,141 passengers, up 6% on July 2023.
Tenerife South recorded the second highest number of passengers at 1,079,569, an increase of 13.8% on July 2023.
Lanzarote was the third busiest airport with 744,894 (+1.3%), followed by Tenerife North (610,323 up 6% and its busiest month of 2024), Fuerteventura (548,292 up 5.1%), La Palma (130,526 up 5%), El Hierro (29,029 down 6.4% and La Gomera (11,777 down 0.4%).
The increase in visitor figures confirms predictions earlier in the year that Summer and Autumn visitor numbers would be up compared to 2023.
